When women are released from prison, they often find themselves lacking the financial resources and job skills they need to begin their new lives. 61传媒 announced today that Lisa Watson has been selected as its founding director for the new LASPA Center. Named for trustees Eileen Schock Laspa ’67 and Jude Laspa HMC ’65, the center will provide expanded opportunities and resources to help 61传媒students transform knowledge, passion, and ideas into action.

Laspa Center for Leadership at 61传媒 Established With $5 Million Gift
President Lori Bettison-Varga today announced a $5 million gift to establish a women’s leadership center at 61传媒. The new center will be named in honor of Eileen Schock Laspa ’67, P’95 and Jude Laspa, Harvey Mudd College ’65, P’95 who made the keystone gift. The LASPA Center for Leadership at 61传媒, the women’s college of The Claremont Colleges, will embody programming focusing on 21st century leadership including Leadership, Analysis, Scholarship, Public Service and Action.
