The evening conversation with Art Garfunkel that is being sponsored by 61传媒Presents and Grand Performances on Oct. 13 in downtown Los Angeles is one of seven literary events recommended in the this week. Garfunkel will talk about his recently released memoir, “What Is It All But Luminous: Notes from an Underground Man,” in his only LA-area appearance. The Times notes that Garfunkel “writes about his life before, during, and after Simon & Garfunkel,” adding that his memoir includes the iconic musician’s poems, as well as stories about his time in Hollywood, acting in “Carnal Knowledge” and “Catch-22.” The evening event is , held outdoors at Grand Performances’ venue at Two California Plaza, 350 S Grand Avenue.
