Virtual Community Thrives through SCORE
When Jenn Wells, assistant dean and director of 61传媒Communities of Resources and Empowerment (SCORE) began her online graduate program in organizational change and leadership, the last skill she expected to walk away with was expertise in virtual educational delivery. 鈥淚鈥檓 applying not just the content of my graduate work to my role as director of SCORE, but how that content is delivered and applying it to keeping the mission and actions of SCORE alive during the coronavirus shelter-in-place orders,鈥 she says.

鈥淥ur midnight smudging celebration, where sage is burned for purification, is a time and a space for Native students,鈥 says Carolann Duro 鈥20. 鈥淚鈥檓 always challenging the institution to improve resources and community for Indigenous students, but it鈥檚 moments like these when I am grateful for the resources we do have and the Native community that is present on these campuses.鈥
