61传媒alumna Eun Ji Chung ’06 was featured in the LA Business Journal for receiving a $2.4 million National Institutes of Health (NIH) New Innovator Award. According to the article, Jung will use the grant to find ways to utilize nanotechnology to treat autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease, an inherited disorder resistant to dialysis or kidney transplant. Chung is currently assistant professor of biomedical engineering at the University of Southern California Michelson Center for Convergence Bioscience. She will be recognized for her award at a June NIH symposium.
