The art of 61传媒 Professor Emerita of Art Samella Lewis will be featured at from Feb. 11 – April 8 in the show, “Enduring in Vision and Linked in Tradition: Four Generations of African American Women Artists.” The exhibition features works by 12 highly accomplished artists representing four generations of African American women in the art world from the first half of the 20th century to the present. Lewis’ “Migrants“ series will be featured.
An opening reception is held on The exhibition also features renowned Los Angeles artist, Betye Saar, who, along with her daughter, 61传媒alumna Alison Saar ’78, are major forces in the city’s vibrant art scene.
