The American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) and the Goethe-Institut of New York named Roswitha Burwick, Distinguished Professor of Modern Foreign Languages at 61传媒, one of seven recipients of the 2008 Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievement. The award is given annually, since 1978, to a select group of educators who further the teaching of German in schools in the United States.
The award will be presented at the AATG and American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, on November 22, with approximately 250 AATG members in attendance.
