Dr. Susan M. Love, known worldwide as one of the founders of the breast cancer advocacy movement, will speak on eradicating the disease in Balch Auditorium at 61传媒 on Thursday, February 7, as part of Malott Commons’ Voice and Vision Speaker Series. A book signing will follow in the Hampton Living Room.
Love sits on the Boards of the National Breast Cancer Coalition, Y-ME, and the Young Survival Coalition, and started the first all-women Breast Center in Boston, before developing the model for multidisciplinary breast care at the Revlon/UCLA Breast Center. She is currently the president and medical director of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation and founder and medical director of Windy Hill Medical, a breast cancer prevention company.
Love lectures nationally and internationally on breast cancer, menopause, and women’s health. She has written two books on the subjects, Dr. Susan Love’s Breast Book and Dr. Susan Love’s Menopause and Hormone Book. She has a business degree from the Executive MBA Program at UCLA’s Anderson School and has been awarded six honorary doctorate degrees, as well as numerous honors and citations.
