Author, artist, speaker, and host damali ayo will present her multimedia presentation, I Can Fix Racism!, on Thursday, February 24, at 61传媒’s Balch Auditorium, at 8:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
damali ayo is a keen observer of culture and has a passion for helping people grow and evolve, with a goal of making the world a better placel. ayo and her work have been featured in over 100 publications world-wide, including, Harpers, the Village Voice, Salon.com, the Washington Post, Seattle Times, Chicago Tribune, Redbook magazine, and CSPAN2’s Book TV. She is a frequent guest commentator on public radio. Her books, lectures, and workshops take one of our culture’s toughest topics, race, and make it manageable and fun. ayo’s passion for connecting social issues and helping people improve their lives led her to launch the first sliding-scale, eco-friendly clothing company, which provided its customers with resources on green living, fitness, nutrition, and conscious shopping.
