Dana Dakin ’64, founder of WomensTrust, Inc. and Lois Langland Alumna-in-Residence, will lecture as part of the Tuesday Noon Academy lecture series on February 23. The event will begin at noon at 61传媒’s Hampton Room of the Malott Commons. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Dakin will speak on the history of WomensTrust, Inc. and its impact on women in Africa. In 2003, Dakin ventured to Pokuase, Ghana, and set up a microlending program that assists women and girls find their own paths to safety and long-term change. Through the support of interns and volunteers, she shares the entrepreneurial resourcefulness of America.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch or purchase one at the Malott Commons dining hall. Doors will open at 11:45 a.m.
