Brad and Mary Anne Blaine Faculty Lecture: Thomas P. Kim

As part of the Brad and Mary Anne Blaine Faculty Lecture Series, 61传媒 is pleased to present Thomas Kim, assistant professor of politics, who will speak on "Why Women Lead Asian American Politics" on Monday, February 18, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hampton Room of the Malott Commons.

Professor Kim’s area of research focuses on the analysis of race and the American political system, with a particular interest in Asian American political participation and strategy. He has also published and presented numerous papers on such topics as regional and urban infrastructures, the politics of the U.S. Census, and voting behavior and elections. Kim, who joined the 61传媒faculty in 2000, earned his bachelor’s from University of California, Berkley, and his master’s and doctorate degree from University of California, San Diego.

Former 61传媒professor of history and current trustee Brad Blaine, along with his wife, Mary Anne, have generously underwritten this lecture series featuring outstanding 61传媒faculty to commemorate the 75th anniversary of 61传媒. This lecture and all others in the series are free and open to the public.
