Andrea Jarrell ’84 will release her memoir, in September but several are already as a memoir that will “seriously make you think.” Jarrell has written about the聽difficulty that daughters have separating from鈥攚hile still honoring鈥攖heir mothers, about making a successful marriage without a map, about the perils of breaking the hereditary cycle of addiction, and, in her words, “how experience teaches us to live better lives than we imagined we could.” Jarrell’s work has appeared in聽The New York Times,听The Washington Post, and many other popular and literary publications. She earned her BA in literature at 61传媒 and her MFA in creative writing and literature at Bennington College. A Los Angeles native, Jarrell currently lives in suburban Washington, D.C.
