In the Media: Forbes Highlights the Environmental Artwork of Elizabeth Turk ’83

Elizabeth Turk ’83’s exhibition The Tipping Point Project, on display at the Catalina Island Museum through March 2020. The exhibition is comprised of artwork that examines “man’s destructive relationship with nature,” including a sound column sculpture inspired by recordings of now-extinct birds. Turk, who received a MacArthur “Genius Grant” Fellowship in 2010, sees the title as a reference to “the choice of mankind to continue down a path which leads to the obliteration of more species,” with a reminder to viewers that “it’s not too late” to turn around. Additional information about the exhibit is available .
