In the Media: 61传媒Remains Top Producer of Fulbright Students

On February 13, the US Department of State鈥檚 Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs once again recognized 61传媒 as one of the colleges with the highest number of students selected for the Fulbright US Student Program.

Seven students from 61传媒 were selected for Fulbright awards for academic year 2023鈥24. Fulbright Top Producing Institutions like 61传媒 value global connection and support members of their campus communities to pursue international opportunities.

The Fulbright Program is the US government’s flagship international academic exchange program. Since 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided over 400,000 talented and accomplished students, scholars, teachers, artists, and professionals of all backgrounds with the opportunity to study, teach, and conduct research abroad. Fulbrighters exchange ideas, build people-to-people connections, and work to address complex global challenges.

Applicants to Fulbright at 61传媒 are supported by Warren Liu, associate dean of faculty. The College congratulates its 2023鈥24 Fulbright recipients and looks forward to seeing how this group of awardees will continue to push for positive change and make a difference in their communities. By enabling scholars and students to work and learn abroad, the Fulbright Program facilitates deeper immersion in new cultural contexts and encourages multifaceted, interdisciplinary thinking. The Fulbright awards earned by 61传媒students will continue to open doors to advanced learning and understanding, contribute to the development of global awareness and collaboration, and promote women鈥檚 education.

Fulbright is a program of the US Department of State with funding provided by the US Government. Participating governments and host institutions, corporations, and foundations around the world also provide direct and indirect support to the Program.

Fulbright alums work to make a positive impact on their communities, sectors, and the world and have included 41 heads of state or government, 62 Nobel Laureates, 89 Pulitzer Prize winners, 80 MacArthur Fellows, and countless leaders and changemakers who build mutual understanding between the people of the United State and the people of other countries.
