Inside Higher Ed the Laspa Center for Leadership’s salary negotiation workshop, hosted in partnership with the College’s Career Planning & Resources office. Students need to understand that 鈥渢heir first salary in their first position can dictate the earnings ladder for their career,鈥� said Gretchen Maldonado, interim director of the Laspa Center.
The workshop is part of the Linda Davis Taylor Financial Literacy Program, in which alumnae facilitators educate current students about budgeting, taxes, banking, and investments. Taylor, a former Board of Trustees chair and 61传媒parent, 鈥渂elieves in the power of financial literacy to transform a person鈥檚 life, and also the power of women sharing this information with other women,鈥� said Maldonado.
