Dana Bah’lgai Eldridge

Dana Bah’lgai Eldridge is a policy analyst at Din脙漏 Policy Institute, located at Din脙漏 College in Tsaile, Arizona. Since 2011, Dana has researched the Din脙漏 Food System to understand how the Din脙漏 diet and lifestyle changed as a result of colonial efforts of the United States and how the Navajo Nation can work to rebuild a self-sufficient food system. She is heading up the Din脙漏 Food Sovereignty Initiative, which is an initiative to revitalize traditional agriculture and rebuild local food economies on the Navajo Nation through the development of food policy recommendations, public education and outreach on food system issues on the Navajo Nation, and the establishment of a farmers’ market in Tsaile, AZ. Dana grew up on the Navajo Nation in Fort Defiance, Arizona. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in ethnic studies from Brown University.
