Kristina Wong is a San Francisco native now living in Los Angeles. Her last solo work “Wong Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” looked at the high rates of depression and suicide among Asian American women. It’s now a broadcast quality DVD that has been acquired by university libraries nationwide and soon will be available for private home use (www.flyingwong.com). “Going Green the Wong Way” is her fifth solo show and “CAT LADY” is her first ensemble work premiering in San Francisco November 2011 at ODC Theater. She’s been a commentator for American Public Media’s Marketplace, PBS, Jezebel and Playgirl Magazine. Her work has been awarded with grants from Creative Capital, MAPFUND, Center for Cultural Innovation, the Durfee Foundation, National Performance Network and a residency from the MacDowell Colony.
