Linda Pollack with Jessica Levinson

Jessica Levinson is the Director of Political Reform at the Center for Governmental Studies (CGS). Her work focuses on governance issues, including campaign finance, ethics, ballot initiatives, redistricting, term limits, and state budgets. She is also an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School, where she teaches a class on campaign finance laws. Prior to joining CGS, she practiced civil litigation at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, LLP. Before entering private practice she clerked in the Central District of California for the Honorable James V. Selna. She received her J.D. from Loyola Law School, where she graduated cum laude and Order of the Coif, and her B.A. in English and Economics from Loyola Marymount University, where she graduated magna cum laude and as the class valedictorian.

The Center for Governmental Studies (CGS), founded in 1983, empowers citizens to become more engaged in their communities, state and local governments. CGS identifies policy problems, conducts factual and legal research, builds consensus for reforms, drafts model laws, shapes public opinion, educates the public and communicates with elected and opinion leaders.
