Professor Ellen Finkelpearl delivered a paper at the Society for Classical Studies annual meeting titled “Animal Difference: reconceptualizing physis in Aelian” in an organized panel called “Animals under Empire.”
Her collaborative book with philosopher Peter Singer, an abridged version of Apuleius’ Golden Ass with essays about the book as a text sympathetic to the sufferings of animals, was translated into Thai and published with an environmental-focused press (Sam Yan Press) in Thailand.
