In collaboration with nine undergraduate co-authors (underlined below), Aaron Leconte published the following research article in the journal Biochemistry. The work describes a novel approach to studying firefly luciferase. In addition to being the protein that makes fireflies glow, this protein is also an important tool for biomedical imaging. In the work, we use this approach to better understand the color of light generated by this protein.
