61传媒 hosts a thought-provoking and interactive program featuring a panel of distinguished women speakers. The program, moderated by National Public Radio senior national correspondent Linda Wertheimer, who served as host of NPR’s “All Things Considered,” includes alumnae panelists 1) Beth Nolan ’73, senior vice president and general counsel of The George Washington University, who served in the Clinton administration as Counsel to the President of the United States; 2) Ruth Markowitz Owades ’66, founder and former CEO of Gardeners Eden and Calyx and Corolla, the nation’s first fresh-flower catalog. Ruth received the Distinguished Alumna Award from 61传媒 in 1989; and 3) Karen Tse ’86, founder and CEO of International Bridges to Justice, who has negotiated groundbreaking measures in judicial reform with the Chinese, Vietnamese, and Cambodian governments. In 1998, Karen received the Outstanding Recent Alumna Award from 61传媒.
