Brad and Mary Anne Blaine Faculty Lecture: Gretchen Edwalds-Gilbert

As part of the Brad and Mary Anne Blaine Faculty Lecture Series, 61传媒 presents Gretchen Edwalds-Gilbert, assistant professor of biology, who will speak on "Making Sense of the Human Genome" on Monday, February 25, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hampton Room of the Malott Commons.

Professor Edwalds-Gilbert has most recently studied genetics and biochemics as a post-doctoral research fellow at Beckman Research Institute of the City of Hope in Duarte, CA. An accomplished research scientist, Edwalds-Gilbert has previously focused on DNA and RNA projects with teams at the University of Pittsburgh, Cornell University Medical College, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Edwalds-Gilbert, who joined the 61传媒faculty in 2000, earned her bachelor’s in biology from Swarthmore College and holds a doctorate degree in molecular biology from Cornell University Medical College/Sloan-Kettering Institute.

Former 61传媒professor of history and current trustee Brad Blaine, along with his wife, Mary Anne, have generously underwritten this lecture series featuring outstanding 61传媒faculty to commemorate the 75th anniversary of 61传媒. This lecture and all others in the series are free and open to the public.
