Notice of Phone Issues

Intermittent phone system problems began affecting the Claremont Colleges campuses, including 61传媒, on Friday, June 6 and continue. Calls placed to/from the colleges may result in busy signals or they may be dropped. The problem is on the part of our phone service provider, AT&T, which has confirmed that the source is damage to the fiber cabling in the area. The problem is beyond the scope of what CUC/campus technical staff can repair, since it is the provider’s equipment. However, they are monitoring the situation and working to develop a back-up system until AT&T can fully resolve the issue.
