Dear Faculty and Staff,
As we progress through the spring semester, we want you to be assured that the COVID-19 Working Group is active and continues to prioritize the health and safety of the 61´«Ã½campus community. The working group convenes as necessary and regularly monitors COVID conditions in Los Angeles County and potential impact on our campus. Below is current information for 61´«Ã½employees and recent updates from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health of Higher Education (LACDPH) and Cal/OSHA.
61´«Ã½ COVID-19 Policy:
As a reminder to all 61´«Ã½employees, it is theÌýCollege’s policy that if you are not feeling well, you should stay home to reduce any potential exposure to the community.ÌýThe policy also requires you to immediately notify theÌýStudent Health Services (SHS) Contact Tracing TeamÌýif you test positive to COVID-19 using an at-home test or a test from your medical provider.
SHS Contact Tracing Team:[email protected] (909) 607-9995 Hours of operation: Mon – Sun 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (closed 12 – 1 p.m.)
SHS will advise when you can return to campus and perform the Cal-OSHA required contract tracing. We recommend saving their contact information for any future need.
Updates from LACDPH and Cal/OSHA:
:
A person may exit isolation once fever free (no fever-reducing medication) for 24 hours with no symptoms or mild symptoms that are improving; must continue to mask through day 10 (see exception below).
LACDPH recommends a negative test before exiting isolation (not a requirement).
Infectious Period:
Definition remains unchanged: 2 days prior to symptoms/positive test through day 10; note the first positive test/symptomatic onset is day zero.
:
Required for 10 days when testing positive and/or symptomatic, anytime around other people (inside or outside).
Not required for close contacts (still recommended).
Contact Tracing:
Identification and notification remain a requirement for employees; recommended but not required for others.
Stay current on allÌýÌýfrom the College. You can also access the updates fromÌý; scroll down to Campus Community Essentials and selectÌýCOVID-19ÌýUpdates.
Please stay vigilant, prioritize your health, and continue to follow all recommended health practices.
