Mo Amer is a comedian, writer, and star of several Netflix series, including Mo Amer: The Vagabond and his new release, Mo, a recounting of his life as a Palestinian refugee and his journey to citizenship. He also starred alongside comedian Ramy Youssef in the Hulu sitcom Ramy and alongside Dwayne 鈥淭he Rock鈥� Johnson in the superhero film Black Adam. Amer鈥檚 stand-up career, which focuses on seeking asylum in the United States, generational trauma, and cultural displacement, has taken him to more than three dozen countries across five continents and he has been featured in Rolling Stone and Variety鈥檚 lists of 鈥淭op Ten Comedians You Need to Know.鈥� Following his late-night debut on CBS鈥檚 The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Amer鈥檚 television appearances have included spots on Comedy Central鈥檚 @Midnight, Tru TV鈥檚 Comedy Knockout, HBO鈥檚 Crashing, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and The Daily Show.
